The contrast of a sunset flooding a graveyard with light emphasizes the bleakness of death and the hope of an eternal life. This abstract view of a row of standing crypts through a gap in a concrete wall invites the viewer to contemplate the metamorphosis as they walk among the gravestones.  A contemporary gothic painting that deals with metamorphosis and transformation, it was inspired by the novels of Gabriel Garcia Marquez and the city of Barcelona.
