These works are all produced this year underwater while using scuba gear at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve in Carmel, California. I am calling this technique ‘Sous Marine’, and have been using it successfully for three years to better capture the immediacy of the marine subject matter. These three pieces are part of an upcoming exhibition in Pacific Grove Arts Center on Point Lobos State Natural Reserve Above and Below the Surface.
