One of traditions that Vienna has to offer in order to please its inhabitants and all visitors is music in the Viennese parks, performed by smaller or bigger orchestras; if they play a waltz, there is usually a couple of professional dancers, and everyone can join them. Despite the outdoor environment, a casual dress code is not permitted; the instrumentalists are dressed as formal and elegant as though performing in the concert house. The maestro in the painting is an American, known for his baseball cap that he always combines with the formal conductor attire.
